Betty Joanne Veatch, 79, of Bloomfield, passed away at 10:00 p.m. on Friday, July 10, 2015 at her residence.
Born December 31, 1935 in Springville, she was the daughter of Floyd Caleb and Sarah Elizabeth (Wright) Flynn.
She worked for RCA and NSWC Crane. She was an LPN for Greene County General Hospital, Dunn Memorial Hospital and Ketcham Memorial Center. She attended Sylvania Wesleyan Church.
Surviving relatives include: her husband, Bernard Veatch of Bloomfield; two sons, Terry W. Veatch (Margaret) of Springville and Michael L. Veatch (Susie Musgrave) of Bloomfield; her grandchildren, Hannah Stephens (Bryan), Brent Veatch, Trevor Veatch (Lindsay), Brandon Veatch (Melissa) and Jason Veatch; great grandchildren, Devon, Blane, Cameron, Justin, Jacob, Gracie, Timber, Hunter, Glenn, Carter and Garrett; one brother, Robert Flynn; and two sisters, Louise Page and Carol Baker.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, three sisters, four brothers and her parents.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at Sylvania Wesleyan Church in rural Bloomfield, with Rev. Dave Taylor and Rev. Lloyd Swango officiating. Interment will follow in Walnut Grove cemetery in rural Bloomfield.
Public visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday and 1 hour prior to services Tuesday at Sylvania Wesleyan Church in rural Bloomfield. Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to Sylvania Wesleyan Church.
