Austin Gene Chaney, 26, of Owensburg passed away Friday September 22, 2017 at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute.

Born November 4, 1990 in Bloomington, Indiana the son of Larry Gene Chaney and Ardene Renee (Martindale) Chaney.

Austin was a carpenter and a volunteer fireman for the Owensburg Fire Department, his smile would light up a room, he could make anybody laugh, he especially loved his kids and family.

Surviving relatives include his wife Nikoll Chaney, his three children, Chayse Austin Jack Chaney, Autumn Grayse Chaney, Brookelinn Rose Osborne, his mother, Ardena (Dana Gerth) Chaney, two sisters, Adrienne Chaney, Makayla Chaney, his father Larry Gene Chaney, two grandmothers, Sharon Chaney, Rachel (Dave) Combs and several Uncles.

Austin was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Jack Chaney and Jack Martindale.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 P.M. on Tuesday and 1 P.M. Wednesday until the hour of service at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Jay Collins officiating. Burial will follow at Owensburg Cemetery.

The family wishes any donations be made to Austin's children in care of Nikoll Chaney.
