Wilma Jean Strauser, 86, of Bloomfield, passed away at 11:45 p.m. Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Greene County General Hospital in Linton.

Born June 18, 1926 in Bloomfield, she was the daughter of Elza and Mamie (Flater) Riggle.

She was a homemaker and attended the Word of Life Fellowship Church in Bloomfield.

Surviving relatives include: one son, Kenneth (Anna) Strauser of Linton; a daughter, Sarah Ann McCaughan of Equality, Illinois; two sisters, Alice Pearson of Bloomfield and Kay Whiteman of North Vernon; three grandchildren, seven great, grandchildren, five great, great, grandchildren, two step grandchildren and three step great, great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ermal Martin Strauser on February 8, 1993, grandson, Kenny Strauser, sister, Evelyn Riggle and a brother, Kenneth Riggle.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Word of Life Fellowship Church in Bloomfield, with Brother Eugene Helms officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview cemetery in Bloomfield.

Public visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Saturday at the church. Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
